LindaGail Walker:
The daughter of a teacher and coming from a family of educators, Mrs. Walker’s educational
experiences range from “cradle to college”. She has masters’ degrees in Educational Administration and
Special Education/Diagnostic Testing as well as over 150 CEU hours in Gifted Education. Throughout her
30 years in education, she has served as a classroom teacher, professor, administrator, diagnostician,
district gifted specialist, first year college student specialist, educational consultant as well as worked
and developed special programs for teacher wellness and social-emotional learning. Mrs. Walker has
worked with small, medium and some of the largest school districts throughout the nation and
internationally. She works to ensure alignment, engagement, and active participation to help educators
utilize practical and research based best practices in order to increase and sustain success for the
betterment of their districts, schools, teachers but most of all, children.
Mrs. Walker has an extensive background in Social-Emotional Learning as well as Trauma. Twenty-four
years ago, she was a founding member of a non-profit, Community Partners of the Central Plains,
working with children and caseworkers seen through Child Protective Services. She uses research-based
best practices to help meet the physical and emotional needs of the children, foster parents, and
caseworkers who work with these families through traumatic events. Mrs. Walker is author of
“Surviving the Storm: Leading through Post-Traumatic Growth” and lead co-author of the “T3: Trauma
Readiness Course” through USC’s Rossier School of Education.
Mrs. Walker is currently the Executive Director of lnnovation and Impact at MeTEOR Education. She
works to help schools and districts leverage High Impact Learning Environments to increase High Impact
Learning Experiences that accelerate engagement by beginning with relationships. She is also working
with school leadership to ensure that viable practices are maintained, internal capacity is built, and
disparity is lessened for all students. It is her passion to work with schools and school leaders to help
them on their personalized journey toward success, taking them from where they strive to be through
utilizing best practices and an instructional framework that is customized and tailored for professional
learning that is practical and sustainable.
